6abCanterbury2015titFrom 28.09-05.10. 2015 the 6a/b were in Canterbury, England. When we arrived in London a bus picked us up, we had dinner and then

met our host families. Most of them were really great! On Tuesday we did a little Canterbury-Quiz and in the evening everybody went bowling, which was a lot of fun!

School always started at 8:45 and lasted until 12:15. Most of the time we did some work on vocabs, but also on spelling, presenting and English history. Lunch and dinner were at the canteen, only at the weekend we had dinner with our host families.

We visited Dover Castle, Canterbury Cathedral and Canterbury Tales Museum, Cambridge and Leeds Castle. I liked the castles best because they were really impressive and also truly interesting because of their history. From Dover Castle we had a stunning view and because it was a clear day we could even spot France in the distance. In the evenings we always had a great programme: f.e. we did Karaoke, which was really one of the best things in the whole week, bowling, African drumming or we had some time in Canterbury.

On our way to the airport most of us thought we’d miss the flight because we were late due to the traffic, so we had to hurry. When we finally came to our gate they told us that the airplane had a bug and so they had to take a different plane which took them quite a while. In the end we waited for about 1 hour before we could depart but we were all just glad, that we didn’t miss our flight. All in all it was a very nice week with a lot of fun.
